Magic Bus

"This auction is for a 1935 Dodge with a Wayne school bus body (#5031). The running gear is 1997 Dodge 3500 4X4, 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel (intercooler disconnected), 4 speed HD automatic transmission, shift-on-the-fly part time 4X4 transfer case, 4.09/4.10 axle ratios, anti-spin differential (rear), quick-ratio variable assist power steering, power brakes, front disc, rear drum w/anti-lock, original 1997 Dodge dash with AM/FM cassette radio, auxillary power outlet, 2 speed intermittent wipers, cruise control, power drivers window, tinted glass, original 139" wheel base, trailer hitch, alloy wheels, radial tires, complete 1997 Dodge 4X4 dually chassis. Front fenders, grille shell, and hood panels are fiberglass. Fuel tank is on left side and is partially covered by a wooden structure. Three person bench seat at rear (no seat belts), headliner has been removed, a plethora of carved details and turned posts. This bus runs down the road on cruise at 70 like a dream. It will go in the snow or off road with ease. What a great vehicle for the swapmeet, motorhome conversion, and/or to tow your vintage car or hot rod. The body has very little rust. Restore or enjoy as is. Dare to be different. I am listing this for a relative. You may email me and I will try to answer questions or email the owner at steveopp@ix.netcom.com

With a trip permit the bus can be driven to your location. As I mentioned before, the engine has been serviced recently by the local Dodge dealer. It looks to me like the bus is ready to take you wherever you would like to go.

I took a closer look for rusted areas. There are some rusted areas that I did not notice in my original walk around. In my opinion these areas are nothing unexpected for a 71 year old vehicle and in fact add to the overall character of the bus.I will try to post some close up photos of these areas. I also HIGHLY recommend that you come and take a look for yourself. We are not trying to misrepresent this bus in any way. It is VERY COOL and we have always had very positive comments wherever we have taken it. Thanks for your overwhelming response. "
